Cathy, I'm glad you said cut the shit before I did. I would never have been that blunt. But really, this sounds like a week you would celebrate, not berate. Your itches and scratching them sounded to me like the deck clearing we did before a deep dive with Jenna. I'm wondering if your planned long stretches of writing need to incorporate a week every so often to re-clear the decks so you can focus on the writing without the cacophony of unattended tasks playing in the background?

I think maybe you're right for big projects, but maybe also I need to get better at all or something thinking so that instead of waiting a few weeks and giving a week to the other things I find a way to do a little something on them every week. The quest to become and all or something thinker is life long, apparently.

All or something is how I live. It's how I write full-fledged to-do lists each day but am happy when I get to the top priorities. It's how I balance writing and work with other life stuff. Like ditching perfectionism, this is a muscle to build. Once built though, it responds well to regular use and can support you through much.

I hear you. I have so much trouble project switching I usually try to clear my space the night before, but there are days that just demand I stop and take care of things.

Are you going to be at the Muse event on Friday night?

Yes! I'm signed up for the event on Friday and then I'll be zooming in, I guess! Be on the lookout for the tall introvert who, while friendly, gives off definite she'd-rather-be-home-in-pjs vibes.
